I came to Paws To Angels because I needed another alternative than my vet or my home for my dog’s last breath. I wanted a place that was calm and peaceful where the people were respectful and knowledgeable. I wanted the most peaceful, painless easy death for my dog. I just didn’t want to take Sarge to the vet to die. I was afraid it would be too sterile and impersonal and that there would be a lack of privacy. Cherie at Paws To Angels assisted me from start to finish in Sarge’s death. She talked to me and my husband about alternatives, decisions, preparations and other details associated with the event. Even though we were totally terrified, she gave us the confidence we needed to perform this terrible but necessary task. She literally just took us under her wing and walked with us through the process.
She had to direct me during those times I couldn’t take the next step. My mind wasn’t functioning because my heart was breaking. So, Cherie just told me what the next was and what the next was after that. As terrible as it was, it became bearable for me because Cherie knew what to do. Paws To Angels made what was the worst of times the best that it could be.
